A much-needed cold climate, fun activities, and a temple located 4,600 feet above sea level, Genting Highlands has a little bit of everything for everybody.
A popular destination for locals and tourists, Resorts World Genting continues to wow those that make the journey up the Titiwangsa Range, especially with one of its latest additions, the SkyAvenue mall.

We definitely recommend going up to the peak by the Awana SkyWay.
Enjoy a 10-minute ride directly to SkyAvenue Station (located within SkyAvenue mall). The new cable car system – with an option for a glass-floor gondola – affords riders a view of Chin Swee Temple, the site of the upcoming Twentieth Century Fox World, and the lush greenery beneath.
The gondolas are also designed to allow more of the cool, crisp mountain air into the cabin – a refreshing change for those who breathe in recycled air-conditioned air eight hours a day.
- Operating hours: Daily from 7am until midnight
- Price per ticket per person:
- Standard gondola: RM8 or 5GP for Genting Rewards Card members
- Glass floor gondola: RM50 or 40GP for Genting Rewards Card members
- Express boarding pass: RM40

Try your best not to be too distracted by the polish and shine of the mall’s interior. While it’s indeed a sight to behold – and a great place for selfies – there is much that requires your undivided attention.
A robust shopping experience spanning across four floors and 70 retail and dining outlets, the SkyAvenue lifestyle mall features everything from articles of clothing to jewellery and tech gadgets.
Yet, with so much to feast your eyes on, you will find that SkyAvenue still manages to peel your attention away from your shopping to marvel at its giant LED screens showcasing digital content and shows.
Before You Call It A Day
No day of retail therapy is complete without indulging in some good eats, and in that area, SkyAvenue has you covered as well.
The lifestyle mall is home to restaurants serving cuisine from many parts of the world, but foodies may want to sink their teeth into a 10oz burger, a whole lobster, or a lobster roll at London-based Burger & Lobster. The restaurant only serves these three main items on its menu. With so much confidence in their offering, you know it’s going to be good!

Another dining spot to take note of is Motorino. Hailing from Booklyn, the pizzeria prides itself in preparing pizzas – such as its authentic Neapolitan pizza – in a wood fire oven, the way all pizzas should be prepared.

For light bites and chill, Parisian-style Cafés Richard lets you take a weight off your feet with a cup of French coffee to accompany a variety of French pastries.
So, that is our recommendation on the new things to see, do, and eat the next time you find yourself in Genting Highlands. For more information, visit Resorts World Genting’s website or Facebook page.
